This journal specializes in teachers' professional development. Pawiyatan: Jurnal Pendidikan Profesi Guru is published every May and November by the Teaching Profession Study Program, Faculty of Education and Teacher Training, Universitas Islam Negeri K.H. Abdurrahman Wahid Pekalongan, Indonesia. The journal publishes manuscripts within the fields of development of teacher competencies (pedagogical, professional, personal, and social), development of learning planning, development of approaches, models, methods, and learning strategies, development of learning media, and development of learning evaluation.

The journal focuses on studies of teachers’ professional development and serves as a medium for disseminating scientific research and scholarly work in the field of teacher education.
The journal is published biannually, in May and November, by the Teacher Professional Education Study Program, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, Universitas Islam Negeri K.H. Abdurrahman Wahid Pekalongan, Indonesia. Pawiyatan: Journal of Teacher Professional Education publishes manuscripts that address the development of teacher competencies, learning design and planning, instructional approaches and strategies, learning media, and learning evaluation.
All submitted manuscripts are reviewed through a peer-review process to ensure academic quality, originality, and relevance to the journal’s focus.
