Digital Archiving Policy
Digital Archiving Policy
Pawiyatan: Journal of Teacher Professional Education is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, accessibility, and integrity of all published content. The journal implements digital archiving strategies to safeguard scholarly records and to provide continued access to its publications over time.
Archiving Systems
The journal utilizes the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, which supports digital preservation through archiving systems such as LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS, allowing participating libraries to create permanent archives of the journal’s content for preservation and restoration purposes.
Institutional Repository
In addition to external archiving systems, all published articles are stored in the institutional repository of Universitas Islam Negeri K.H. Abdurrahman Wahid Pekalongan, ensuring redundancy and long-term accessibility.
File Formats and Accessibility
Articles are published in standard digital formats (such as PDF) to ensure long-term readability and compatibility. The journal periodically reviews file formats to maintain accessibility as technology evolves.
Content Integrity
Archived content remains unchanged to preserve the scholarly record. Any post-publication updates, such as corrections or retractions, are clearly identified and linked to the original articles without altering the archived version.
Sustainability Commitment
Through these archiving practices, Pawiyatan: Journal of Teacher Professional Education demonstrates its commitment to sustainable scholarly communication and the preservation of academic knowledge for future generations.
