Electronic Archiving and Digital Preservation_Policy
Jurnal Hukum Islam (JHI) is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, accessibility, and availability of its published scholarly content. The journal recognizes the importance of digital preservation in maintaining the scholarly record and providing continued access to research in Islamic legal studies.
Digital Preservation
Jurnal Hukum Islam uses the electronic publishing and archiving facilities provided by its Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform to maintain digital copies of published articles and associated journal content. The journal seeks to preserve its published materials and minimize the risk of permanent loss resulting from technical failures, system changes, or other disruptions.
Archiving and Long-Term Access
The journal supports the preservation of its scholarly content through appropriate digital archiving practices. Where available and applicable, the journal may participate in recognized digital preservation services, such as the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), LOCKSS, or CLOCKSS, to support long-term access to published content.
The journal's electronic archive is intended to ensure that published articles remain accessible to readers, researchers, libraries, and other scholarly institutions.
Repository and Indexing Services
Published articles may also be discoverable through scholarly indexing and abstracting services, institutional repositories, and other academic information systems, subject to the policies and technical requirements of the respective platforms.
Indexing and discovery services are distinct from digital preservation services and do not, by themselves, guarantee the long-term preservation of journal content.
Continuity of Access
In the event of a technical disruption or change in the journal's publishing platform, Jurnal Hukum Islam will make reasonable efforts to maintain access to its published content and restore the availability of its electronic archive.
This policy is reviewed periodically to support the journal's commitment to publication integrity, digital sustainability, and long-term scholarly communication.
