The purpose of this study was to examine the feasibility, readability, and student responses to the development of comparative teaching materials that were integrated with Challenge Based Learning with a STEM approach to students' critical thinking skills. This research method uses R&D (Research and Development) with a 4-D model through the preliminary stages (define), planning (design), and development (develop) without the stage of dissemination (Dessiminate). This is done considering the focus of the research is to develop prototypes of mathematics teaching materials that are ready to be implemented in the classroom. Data collection techniques used in this study were questionnaires using validation sheets by experts and practitioners, legibility sheets by students who had already taken the material, and student response questionnaires for students who were taking the material. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis technique. The results of this study showed the prototype obtained a final score of 85.49 for the feasibility of the content of experts and practitioners, 87.00 for readability from students, and 89.00 for student responses. These results indicate that the development of comparative teaching materials that are integrated with Challenge Based Learning with a STEM approach is feasible to develop students' critical thinking skills and can be implemented in learning activities for class VII SMP/MTs students. Further research needs to be carried out in order to examine the effectiveness of teaching materials in improving mathematical critical thinking skills.
