Abstract

This study aims to describe the types of errors made by the students of SMP N 1 Kedungwuni, Pekalongan Regencyaccording to the Kastolan stages and to find out what factors cause students to make mistakes in solving math problems, especially in the matter of integers. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The subjects are students of class VII.The data analysis techniques are test instruments, interviews, and drawing conclusions. The result of the research is an analysis of students' errors according to the Kastolan stages which include conceptual errors, procedural errors, and technical errors. errors in conceptual matters such as students incorrectly determining formulas or theorems, errors in procedural matters such as less systematic work steps, errors in technical matters such as errors in calculation operations. The factors that cause students to make mistakes are because students are less able to understand the material delivered online, assignments from teachers who accumulate and do not re-correct the results of their work.
