Analisis Materi Bilangan Rasional pada Buku Teks Matematika Siswa SMP Kelas VII berdasarkan Praxeology Theory

This research aims to analyze the presentation of rational number material in Class VII Junior High School Mathematics textbooks using the praxeological theory approach from Didactic Anthropology. The study focuses on the "Comparing Rational Numbers" sub-chapter within the textbook, which is analyzed through four praxeological components: type of task (T), technique (τ), technology (θ), and theory (Θ). The results show that the textbook presents a varied and sufficiently comprehensive range of task types. However, the techniques for solving problems tend to be monotonous, and the theoretical explanation (Θ) for certain mathematical concepts, such as fraction operations, is not presented explicitly or illustratively. In general, this textbook supports mathematics learning but still requires strengthening in the presentation of theory and the connection of the material to real-life contexts to help students understand concepts more deeply.
