Focus and Scope

El Hisbah: Journal of Islamic Economic Law is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to the dissemination of original research and critical studies in the field of Islamic economic law. Published biannually in May and November, the journal serves as a platform for scholarly engagement with contemporary legal and economic issues from an Islamic perspective.

The journal focuses primarily on the theoretical and practical dimensions of Islamic law as applied to the modern economic landscape. Areas of interest include Islamic finance and banking, Sharia-compliant digital markets, Islamic financial institutions, and Islamic philanthropy.

In addition, the journal welcomes contributions on the study and regulation of halal industries, including the development, certification, and global integration of halal products.
