Archive Policy
ISJOUST participates in the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) program to support long-term digital preservation. Through this initiative, libraries are able to create and maintain their own archives of content published by ISJOUST and other publishers with minimal technical requirements and cost-effective hardware resources.
Digital Archive : ISJOUST is committed to ensuring the long-term availability and preservation of scholarly research publications. To maintain accessibility, all digital files are continuously converted and updated in accordance with the latest technological standards. In addition, ISJOUST collaborates with various organizations while also maintaining its own independent digital archiving system.
Local Archive : The digital content archive is managed through a modern local facility designed to store complete and accurate digital versions of all published articles. The current standard file format used is .pdf, and most documents are preserved in this format.
Website Archiving : All electronic content, including websites, manuscripts, and related documents, is stored across three separate storage sources. One server functions as the primary online source accessible to readers, while the other two serve as backup systems. In the event of a server failure, one of the backup sources can be activated, allowing the website to be restored and accessible within approximately 24–36 hours.
System Backup: All publications in ISJOUST are backed up weekly using an incremental backup system. Furthermore, all journals are managed within a cloud computing environment where applications, databases, and electronic documents are regularly backed up to ensure data security and reliability.
