The validity of the article and its importance to researchers and readers drive the decision to accept and publish the journal. The editor can be guided by the policies of the journal's board of editors and is limited by legal provisions that must be enforced regarding defamation, copyright infringement, and plagiarism. Editors may consult with other editors or the review team in making these decisions.

Fair treatment

Editors always assess manuscripts based on their intellectual content regardless of the author's race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, ethnic origin, nationality, or political philosophy.

Confidentiality

Editors should not disclose any information about submitted manuscripts except to authors, editors, reviewers, and publishers.

Notification and Conflict of Interest

Unpublished material contained in a submitted manuscript may not be used in the editor's research without the author's written consent.

Contribution to Editorial Decisions

The judgment of reviewers helps an editor make editorial decisions. In addition, editorial communication with authors can help authors to improve their writing.

Confidentiality

Any manuscript accepted for review should be treated as a confidential document. It should not be presented or discussed with others unless authorized by the editor.

Objectivity Standard

The review or assessment process must be conducted objectively. Personal criticism of the author cannot be justified. The reviewer must express his/her views clearly with supporting scientific arguments.

Acknowledgement of Sources

Reviewers must identify relevant published works not cited by the authors. Any statements that assert previously reported observations, derivations or arguments must be accompanied by relevant citations. A reviewer should also ask the editor to note any similarities or overlaps between the manuscript under review and other published work.

Notification and Conflict of Interest

Confidential information or arguments obtained through an expert peer reviewer's assessment must be kept confidential and must not be used for personal gain. Reviewers may not consider a manuscript if a conflict of interest stems from a competitive, cooperative, or other relationship or connection with any author, company, or institution associated with the manuscript.

Reporting Standards

Authors must present an accurate report of the journal's results and an objective discussion of their significance. Key data should be accurately represented in the text. The written text should contain sufficient detail and references so that others can repeat and build on the research. False or deliberately inaccurate statements are unethical and unacceptable behavior.

Originality and Plagiarism

The author has only to submit a manuscript that is free from plagiarism and academic malpractices. The editor, however, double-checks each article before its publication. The first step is to check plagiarism against the offline databases developed by Universitas Islam Negeri K.H. Abdurrahman Wahid Pekalongan, Jawa Tengah, Indonesia. Secondly, against as much as possible online databases. A maximum of 20% of similarities is allowed for the submitted papers. Should we find more than 20% of the similarity index, the article will be returned to the author for correction and re-submission.

Multiple, Repeated or Concurrent Publishing

An author should generally not publish a manuscript that essentially describes the same research in more than one journal or other major publication. Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously is unethical and unacceptable behavior.

Acknowledgment of Sources

Reasonable acknowledgment of the work of others should always be given. Authors should cite publications that have had an influence in determining the nature of the work being reported.

Authorship

Authorship should be limited to work that made a substantial contribution to the conception, design, conduct, or interpretation of the reported research. All persons who made important contributions should be listed as co-authors. If others participated in certain important aspects of the research project, they should be acknowledged or listed as contributors. The corresponding author should ensure that all appropriate co-authors are included in the paper and that all co-authors have seen and approved the final paper and approved its submission for publication.

Notification and Conflict of Interest

Authors must disclose in their manuscripts any financial or other substantive conflicts that may affect the results or interpretation of the manuscript. All financial support for the project must be disclosed.

Fundamental Errors in the Published Journal

If the author discovers significant errors or inaccuracies in the manuscript then the author should immediately notify the editor or publisher of the journal. Therefore, the author works with the editor to retract or correct the paper.
