Analisis Strategi Pengelolaan Air Limbah Industri Batik Yang Berkelanjutan Di Kota Pekalongan

Abstract

Batik is relied on as an export commodity, apart from that batik has a waste impact on the environment, especially on the problem of liquid waste. Waste is no longer used for human life, because waste is the result of society or scientific processes that have been disposed of. This waste is a source of environmental pollution, because liquid waste from batik contains high organic compounds, and contains harmful chemical compounds and pathogenic microorganisms that can cause disease. This research was conducted in Pekalongan City with a qualitative method through a phenomenological study approach. In this study, direct interviews were conducted with batik entrepreneurs in Pekalongan City in the Simbang Kulon and Simbang Wetan areas with a total of 3 respondents. Then the interview data from the collected research will be analyzed. In processing batik waste, it is necessary to filter waste as a means of disposal. In addition, the socialization of clean production programs is carried out. The main purpose of wastewater treatment is to reduce the content of pollutants in the water, especially compounds, organic, solid or suspended, pathogenic microbes and organic compounds that cannot be decomposed by microorganisms found in nature. However, there are still some batik industries in Pekalongan that have not maximized the wastewater treatment plant system. Based on the seriousness of the batik waste problem in Pekalongan City due to waste disposal without any treatment of soil and river water conditions and the life of aquatic animals. This study aims to develop a strategy for processing batik waste in Pekalongan City. To review this research, it is necessary to interview the batik waste water management in Pekalongan City. So that it can produce a strategy to realize batik waste water management
