Peer review process

Artik uses a double anonymous peer review process to ensure the quality and rigor of its published articles. The peer review process is as follows:

Submission

Authors submit their articles to ARTIK through the journal's online submission system.

Preliminary evaluation

The editor-in-chief or an editorial board member will conduct a preliminary evaluation of the submitted articles to determine if they are suitable for peer review. Articles that are not suitable for peer review will be rejected without further review.

Peer review

Accepted articles will be assigned to two independent peer reviewers who are experts in the field of the article. Reviewers will evaluate the articles based on the following criteria:

  • Originality and significance
  • Methodology
  • Results
  • Discussion and conclusions
  • Style and clarity

Decision

The editor-in-chief will make a decision on the basis of the peer review reports. Articles that are recommended for publication will be sent back to the authors for revision. Articles that are not recommended for publication will be rejected.

Revision

Authors of revised articles will have the opportunity to address the reviewers' comments. Revised articles will be re-reviewed by the same reviewers.

Final decision

The editor-in-chief will make a final decision on the basis of the revised articles and the re-review reports.

Appeals

Authors who disagree with the editor-in-chief's decision can appeal the decision to the editorial board. The editorial board will review the appeal and make a final decision.

Timeline

The peer review process typically takes 60-90 days.
