Al-Hujurat 12 (Charles Sanders Pierce Semiotic Analysis) https://e-journal.uingusdur.ac.id/aqwal/article/view/teha421
This research aims to portray various Qur'anic interpretations of the word al-Ẓān based on the projection of signs through Charles Sanders Pierce's semiotic approach. The author limits the object of research to Q.S. Al-Hujurat 12, based on the interpretation of classical to contemporary mufassirs. This research is included in the type of literature (library research), using descriptive-analytical method to identify the interpretation of al-Ẓān in the books of interpretation and then apply it with the concept of trichotomy (representament, object, interpretant). Pierce's semiotics sees a sign as always evolving and continuous in nature, as far as new interpretations are found, in this context other semantic meanings of the word az-Ẓān.

The findings in this study confirm that prejudice (az-Ẓān) in Q.S. Al-Hujurat 12 has various meanings, namely: the spread of bad news, good prejudice, the boundary between belief and doubt, and bad prejudice. These meanings descend into moral values that are relevant to the current context. In the current context, spreading bad news is similar to hoaxes and hate speech. Another portrait is seen in the phenomenon of overthinking, which is rooted in excessive prejudice, which certainly has negative implications for physical and psychological health.
Muhammad Ilham Sofyan Copyright (c) 2023 Muhammad Ilham Sofyan https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://e-journal.uingusdur.ac.id/aqwal/article/view/teha421 Thu, 07 Dec 2023 00:00:00 +0700 Study of Moderation Verses in the Perspective of Nusantara Tafsir https://e-journal.uingusdur.ac.id/aqwal/article/view/teha422
This study provides an understanding and interpretation of the verses of moderation in the opinion of the commentator or commentator in the archipelago. Abun Bunyamin in Tafsir Al-Ma'arif https://e-journal.uingusdur.ac.id/aqwal/article/view/teha424
The pluralism of religion in Indonesia has always been a significant topic of debate, given the diversity of this country, consisting of various ethnicities, cultures, and religions. Among the Islamic community, discussions regarding religious pluralism often become heated, with various arguments and evidence presented. One of the viewpoints that addresses religious pluralism is that of K.H. Abun Bunyamin, a prominent Islamic figure in the West Java region, as articulated in his book, Tafsir Al-Ma'arif. This research aims to understand Abun Bunyamin's perspective on religious pluralism in his work. The research method employed is a descriptive-analytical approach, involving problem description, in-depth analysis, and meticulous presentation of research findings. Data sources used include document analysis of Abun Bunyamin's writings and direct interviews with him.

The research findings indicate that Abun Bunyamin vehemently rejects the idea of religious pluralism. His perspective is grounded in the interpretation of Surah Ali Imran, verse 85, in which he believes that religious pluralism is not only about recognizing the diversity of religions but also supporting the existence and diversity of these religions. Moreover, he opposes the view of proponents of religious pluralism who claim that all religions are true as long as they submit to God. Abun Bunyamin's perspective on religious pluralism is also influenced by his experiences and his position as the Chairman of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) in Purwakarta Regency, as well as being a kiai who teaches the general public. This has made him more focused on strengthening faith and distancing himself from hatred towards individuals with different beliefs. Thus, this perspective reflects an effort to promote tolerance and harmony among religions in the diverse context of Indonesia.
Muhamad Aroka Fadli Copyright (c) 2023 Muhamad Aroka Fadli https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://e-journal.uingusdur.ac.id/aqwal/article/view/teha424 Sun, 10 Dec 2023 00:00:00 +0700 The Validity of Transmission of Ijazah Hadith Musalsal Through Social Media Salafi Ulema Perspective: A Study of Sanad Connectedness (Studies al-Tahammul wa al-Adā') https://e-journal.uingusdur.ac.id/aqwal/article/view/teha425
The focus of this paper is on the quality and understanding of the hadith in the DSNMUI Fatwa No. 108 of 2016 concerning halal tourism. The use of hadith as a source of fatwas is important, especially with regard to the legality of an Islamic perspective. However, like a fatwa, this hadith is not followed by an explanation regarding the quality of the hadith and how to understand the meaning that comes from the hadith so that it can be used as a source of fatwa. On the one hand, it must be ensured that the hadith can be accounted for as originating in the Prophet, both in sanad and matan so that its use has high validity. In addition, the existence of hadith when it was born has a distance in time and space that is quite far so whether reinterpretation is needed or not. To answer the problem, this study uses library research by applying the method of criticizing sanad, matan and ma'anil hadith. In the data analysis using descriptiveanalytical techniques.
This paper shows that there are two hadiths used by DSN-MUI. The first hadith narrated by Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal is of da'if quality because there are two narrators who are considered weak, namely Ibn Lahi'ah and Darraj bin Sam'an. Meanwhile, the second hadith, which was narrated by Imam al-Bukhari and Imam Muslim, is of valid quality. The content of the meanings of the two hadiths used by the DSN-MUI is a recommendation for travel that is not only aimed at entertainment or a healthy body, but also travel compassion and increase obedience.
Hasan Su’aidi, Marwan bin Mohammad Amin, M. Some Muslims perceive Queer individuals as deviant, sinful, and divergent from Islamic Sharia. This is attributed to the numerous misinterpretations of the story of Prophet Lut in the Quran and hadiths, which are used to justify the discrimination against the Queer community. However, contemporary interpretations of the story of Lut are often overlooked in discussions regarding the context of why Allah sent punishment upon the people of Lut.

Two fundamental questions underlie this research. First, what is the origin of the emergence of discriminatory rhetoric against the Queer community in the story of Prophet Lut in the Quran? Second, are there other influences that support such discrimination? The author finds that interpretations of the story of Prophet Lut are not singular, and there are other factors influencing the perpetuation of discrimination against the Queer community in Islam. This is due to the influence of pre-Islamic cultural attitudes towards Queer discrimination. There are verses in the Gospel that explicitly outline punishments for homosexuality, and it is believed that there is an overlap in understanding between Islamic and pre-Islamic (in this case, Christian) cultures in the construction of the narrative of the story of Prophet Lut.
Ersa Elfira Khaiya , Ferdiansah Copyright (c) 2023 Ersa Elfira Khaiya , Ferdiansah https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://e-journal.uingusdur.ac.id/aqwal/article/view/teha428 Thu, 07 Dec 2023 00:00:00 +0700
