PEMBELAAN GUS DUR TERHADAP KESESATAN AHMADIYAH (Pembacaan Hermeneutika Schleiermacher)

Abdurrahman Wahid atau yang biasa disebut Gus Dur telah luas diketahui sebagai sosok yang kontroversial. Salah satu kontroversi tersebut adalah pembelaan Gus Dur terhadap Jamaah Ahmadiyah Indonesia (JAI) yang difatwa sesat oleh Majelis Ulama Indonesia. Padahal, Gus Dur adalah salah satu ulama Indonesia yang dikenal sebagai pemimpin Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) yang notabene tradisional dan berfaham Ahlussunnah Waljama’ah. Pembelaan Gus Dur terhadap JAI ini, tak pelak, secara teologis menimbulkan keraguan mengenai jati diri keaswajaannya. Tulisan ini berusaha memahami pembelaan Gus Dur terhadap kesesatan JAI melalui cara baca hermeneutika a la Schleiermacher. Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa pembelaan Gus Dur terhadap JAI bukanlah sebentuk pembelaan teologis melainkan pembelaan terhadap sisi kemanusiaan dan konstitusi berbangsa dan bernegara yang berlaku di Indonesia. Pembelaan semacam ini justru merupakan wujud dari teologi Aswaja yang dipahamnyai dan yang telah ia kembangkan sesuai dengan kerangka dasar pengembangan Aswaja yang disusunnya.
