The novel tells the complex story of the struggle of women in liberating their language from masculine domination. As a female author, Gillian Flynn tries to create a new narrative on women. She opens the other side of women who are rarely revealed. This author's effort is the point of the discussion. How the author practices feminine language and why she did it will be the main problem in the research. Luce Irigaray’s thoughts about feminine language is used as a tool to answer the problem. In addition, the gynocritical approach is also used to explain the issue of female author who writes about woman. This paper finds that the author of the novel experienced boredom about the portrayal of mainstream women. The author offered the anti-mainstream ways to portray women. This effort becomes a tactic for the author to liberate women from masculine domination.
2020-12-30T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2020 Muwazah: jurnal kajian gender https://e-journal.uingusdur.ac.id/Muwazah/article/view/7382 Pendidikan dan Partisipasi Angkatan Kerja Perempuan di Indonesia: Analisis Data Sakernas 2019 2024-04-18T08:42:52+07:00 Lusiyanti [email protected]
The level of female labor force participation (LFP) in Indonesia based on the results of the National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) shows a stagnant value, and even tends to decline since 2000 until now. Although the TPAK of women in the world has also experienced a decline, but with the increase in gender equality in Indonesia, especially in the field of education it seems that it is not accompanied by an increase in women's work participation itself. Using Sakernas results in 2019 from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), a modeling of women's work participation using the probit model was conducted. Based on the established model, it was found that the increase in work participation of women in Indonesia was higher in those with higher levels of education and those who were heads of households. This is indicated by the marginal effect value of the probit model which is positive. While factors that tend to reduce women's work participation in Indonesia include women with marital status, having a toddler, and living in urban areas.
2020-12-30T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2020 Muwazah: jurnal kajian gender https://e-journal.uingusdur.ac.id/Muwazah/article/view/7383 Bias Gender pada Pengasuhan Anak Usia Dini: Sebuah Pengakuan Orang Tua 2024-04-18T09:18:47+07:00 Yubaedi Siron [email protected] Sherllyn Azzaharra Asbi [email protected] Putri Rizki Amalia [email protected] Putri Rizki Amalia [email protected] Laila Cahyani [email protected]
Misconceptions about gender perception are still common in Indonesia. The discrimination is based on early marriage, namely Indonesian youth aged 20-24 years who have been married before the age of 19 years. There are two main factors used, namely gender and age groups. The age group represents the age at first marriage for Indonesian youth who are categorized as early marriage, namely the group aged less than 15 years and aged in the group 16-18 years. This study applies a bootstrap approach to the analysis of variance (ANOVA) due to the failure of the initial assumption tests on the original data. The analysis results show there are significant differences between male and female youth in the percentage of child marriage cases. Gender inequality is indicated based on the finding that young women are found to be four times more vulnerable to being trapped in child marriage than boys. In addition, the results of the analysis also indicate that young women are easier to get trapped in child marriage practices for both age groups. Furthermore, the results of the analysis also indicate that young women are more prone to be involved in child marriage when they are in the 16-18 year group.
2020-12-30T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2020 Muwazah: jurnal kajian gender
